A global enterprise programme is seeking a senior freelance SAP Finance / Project Systems (PS) consultant to support a large-scale transformation initiative. The role is hands-on and execution-driven, focused on configuration, delivery, and stabilisation rather than design rework.

This engagement sits within a complex, regulated environment with high transaction volumes and integrated project-based billing models.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver SAP FICO and Project Systems (PS) configuration and enhancements
• Execute pre-defined work packages aligned to an approved design
• Configure and support:
  • WBS structures and project-based cost tracking
  • Capex accounting and settlement
  • Revenue recognition linked to project execution
  • Period-end closing and reporting
• Support integrations including:
  • Time recording / project cost customer billing
  • Finance integrations (e.g. banking interfaces, payment advice)
• Participate in unit testing, integration testing, and validation activities
• Proactively flag risks, dependencies, and delivery blockers

Required Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP FICO and Project Systems (PS)
• Proven delivery experience on complex SAP programmes (not greenfield theory-led roles)
• Solid understanding of:
  • Project-based finance models
  • Cost control, settlement, and revenue processes, CAPEX
• Comfortable working to tight deadlines with limited tolerance for scope creep

Desirable Experience

• Experience in pharma / CDMO / regulated environments
• Exposure to:
  • Waste management or dangerous goods processes
  • Transportation or logistics integrations
• Prior involvement in large global rollouts or carve-out programmes
