Our client is seeking a Senior SAP Consultant, specifically as a CO (Controlling) module expert. This role is on a contractual-basis, on-demand part-time hours, fully remote, and 6 months project duration with an immediate start date.

Contract Role Overview

The Engineer, SAP – Controlling (Contract) provides hands-on functional and technical SAP Controlling support on a contractual basis. This role is responsible for configuring, supporting, and optimizing SAP Finance and Controlling solutions to meet business, project, and compliance needs. The contractor will work closely with Finance, Accounting, and Project stakeholders to ensure accurate costing, budgeting, consolidation, and project financial controls within SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, support, and enhance SAP Controlling (CO) modules including Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, and Profitability Analysis.
• Support costing processes including product costing, overhead cost management, variance analysis, and actual vs. planned cost reporting.
• Provide functional support for SAP Project System (PS), including project cost planning, budgeting, tracking, settlement, and integration with CO and FI.
• Configure and support SAP Funds Management (FM) for budget control, availability control, and fund allocation.
• Support financial consolidation activities including intercompany accounting, financial close, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Collaborate with FI, MM, SD, and PS teams to ensure accurate financial integration and data flow.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.
• Participate in SAP implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Create functional specifications, support testing (SIT/UAT), and assist with documentation and knowledge transfer.

Required Skills & Experience

• Must have 10 years experience
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP Controlling (CO) configuration and support.
• Proven experience with costing processes including product costing and variance analysis.
• Working knowledge of SAP Project System (PS) for project financial management.
• Experience with SAP Funds Management (FM) and budget control.
• Experience supporting or participating in financial consolidation processes.
• Experience working in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a contract-based, deliverables-focused role.
