Position description
Senior SAP P2P Consultant
Your new company
A large, well‑established organisation undergoing continued transformation across its S/4HANA landscape is seeking an experienced Senior SAP P2P Consultant. With a strong project pipeline and a focus on improving enterprise‑wide procurement processes, this organisation offers the opportunity to work within a mature, collaborative technology environment.
Your new role
As the Senior SAP P2P Consultant, you will be responsible for leading solution design, process optimisation, and operational support within the Procure to Pay (P2P) domain, with a particular focus on S/4HANA and VIM Core Capture.
This role is split approximately 50/50 between operational BAU support and project delivery, supporting live production issues while contributing to a significant Q2 project pipeline. You will play a key role in enhancing indirect procurement processes and simplifying the end‑to‑end workflow from purchasing through to supplier payment.
Working closely with a community of SAP functional stakeholders, including teams across Finance, Manufacturing, and Analytics, you will also be the primary point of contact for P2P‑related queries from the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading SAP P2P solution design and continuous improvement initiatives
- Enhancing indirect procurement processes and overall P2P efficiency
- Designing integration points with Finance, Manufacturing, and related modules
- Producing functional specifications for complex custom developments
- Facilitating workshops and engaging business stakeholders
- Providing day‑to‑day production support and issue resolution
- Working collaboratively within a multi‑vendor environment
The role requires three days per week in the office. Candidates based in Sydney are preferred, but strong applicants from elsewhere in Australia will also be considered. This is an initial 3‑month contract with strong potential for extension based on performance
What you’ll need to succeed
You will demonstrate:
- 10+ years’ experience in SAP P2P, including strong capability in Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) Core Capture
- Experience across at least two full SAP implementation lifecycles, with involvement in at least one Greenfield project
- Strong integration knowledge across P2P, Finance, Manufacturing, and reporting/analytics modules
- Ability to balance live operational support with project delivery
- Proven ability to lead workshops and influence senior stakeholders
- SAP P2P certification (highly regarded)
What you’ll get in return
You’ll join a respected organisation with meaningful transformation underway, giving you the opportunity to shape key procurement processes and contribute to multiple high‑value projects. A supportive team environment and the potential for contract extension make this a compelling contract role.
