The organization is currently modernizing its financial systems as part of a broader digital transformation initiative, with a strong focus on transparency, compliance, and alignment with local regulatory frameworks. The project environment is highly structured and governed by public-sector standards, involving multiple stakeholders and formal approval processes.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Funds Management (FM) Consultant to support a long-term SAP finance program within a public-sector environment. The consultant will play a key role in the configuration, localisation, and optimisation of SAP Funds Management processes, ensuring full compliance with Greek public-sector financial regulations.

This is a 12-month contract role, primarily remote, with occasional onsite presence in Athens required for workshops, key milestones, and stakeholder alignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and support SAP Funds Management (FM) in line with public-sector requirements
• Implement and maintain Greek localisation for SAP FM and related finance processes
• Ensure compliance with national budget control, commitment management, and funds availability checks
• Support integration between SAP FM and other SAP modules (e.g. FI, CO, MM)
• Analyze business and legal requirements and translate them into SAP system configurations
• Support testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, and UAT
• Assist with data validation, cutover activities, and go-live support
• Prepare functional documentation and support audit and compliance requirements
• Work closely with business users, IT teams, and external vendors in a public-sector setting

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as an SAP Funds Management (FM) Consultant on public-sector projects
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP FM configuration and support
• Mandatory experience with Greek SAP localisation, particularly in public finance and budgeting
• In-depth understanding of Greek public-sector financial processes and regulatory requirements
• Experience with SAP FI integration in a public-sector context
• Ability to work within formal governance, documentation, and approval structures
• Strong stakeholder communication skills

Language & Location Requirements

• Fluent Greek (spoken and written) – mandatory
• Fluent English – mandatory
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Athens for onsite workshops and project phases
