The role in a nutshell
In this role, you will handle the SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) incidents and change requests raised as part of the global support of Glencore Zinc’s S/4 HANA system. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your experience in end-to-end implementations of PM.
You will manage business requirement gathering and configure SAP or define functional specifications to fulfill those.
As part of a global team, you will have to interact with the local team in Malaga (functional and technical), business across different geographies, and local functional teams located in Europe, Canada and Australia.
More specifically, you will be expected to:
Apply fixes for incidents and work in the delivery of system enhancements;
Translate business requirements into solution alternatives;
Communicate with the rest of the AMS team and the global project teams to ensure alignment;
Do you have what it takes?
Strong background in SAP Plant Maintenance with a demonstrated technical expertise and experience across multiple and relevant SAP software products supporting the Plant Maintenance function;
Proven and demonstrated track record of successfully delivering customer projects;
Make solid and reliable decisions in complex environments;
Strong interpersonal and soft skills, able to quickly develop relationships with all stakeholders, locally and globally, to become a trusted advisor in your field of expertise;
SAP S/4 HANA experience including Fiori apps in Plant Maintenance. Desirable experience in Coupa integration. Many of the apps used are on mobile devices or tablets so experience in that is desirable.
Language : As you will be part of a global team, you must be able to communicate fluently in English (verbal and written). Knowledge of other languages such as French, German and/or Spanish is desirable.
Travel: Some occasional travelling will be required.

Recently, Glencore’s Zinc division has embarked in a system replacement globally with the implementation of SAP S/4 HANA and Coupa as the main backbone to support industrial business operations globally. The solution has been deployed in some parts of the business in Q4 2023 and we are continuing our journey to roll-out the global solution to all sites to cover Australia, Spain, UK, Germany, Italy and Canada.
The global AMS team is formed by functional teams located in the north of Spain, Australia and Canada, combined with a central team located in Malaga. This new Group supports the business users globally from an applications management support perspective.
