Position description
Conexus are currently partnered with a global pharmaceutical company, who are currently searching for a SAP Integration Architect to join them on a permanent basis in Barcelona, Spain.
This position is available to candidates with the right to work in Spain, that do not require sponsorship.
About the Role:
As the SAP Integration Architect, you will take full ownership of the technical architecture for SAP integration products. You will lead the strategy and execution for SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP PI/PO, SAP SLT, and more, while managing the interface library and integration products across functional and technical teams.
Our client is on a dynamic journey to build a state-of-the-art digital organisation. You will play a critical role in optimising their ERP and corporate systems, ensuring robust and innovative SAP integration solutions that drive business performance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and management of SAP integration products including SAP BTP, PI/PO, SLT, and more, ensuring the solutions align with business objectives.
- Own the design, governance, and architecture of SAP integration services, ensuring they are scalable, efficient, and secure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate integration requirements, proposing the best solutions that meet both technical and business needs.
- Design and maintain the integration decision tree, guiding technical teams in choosing the right tools and technologies.
- Ensure business continuity by managing escalations, resolving critical incidents, and supporting senior stakeholders during disruptions.
- Develop and maintain SAP integration architecture metrics, providing performance insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Establish strong partnerships with leading SAP technology providers, staying ahead of industry trends and innovations.
- Manage the development and service activation with partners, setting standards, capacity plans, and ensuring governance is adhered to.
Required Technical Expertise:
- 8+ years of experience with SAP technologies including SAP BTP (Neo, Cloud Foundry, etc.), SAP PI/PO, SLT, ALE, and IDOCs.
- Expertise in REST, SOAP, OData, and various middleware and integration platforms.
- Proven experience with SAP architecture and full lifecycle implementations in a fast-paced global environment, ideally within FMCG/FMCH industries.
- Strong understanding of IT governance, cloud platforms (IAAS/SAAS/PAAS), and hybrid frameworks.
- Ability to manage distributed teams and projects, ensuring consistency and collaboration across international teams.
