The role in a nutshell
In the role of Integration Analyst, you will act as a bridge between business requirements and technical solutions, ensuring smooth communication between SAP and non-SAP systems through mainly the SAP Integration Suite.
You'll utilise tools like SAP Cloud Integration, API Management, and Event Mesh to develop precise integration solutions tailored to business challenges.
Your duties will encompass the creation and management of API lifecycles and the simplification of integration processes for diverse company stakeholders. You will utilise established integration blueprints and best practices to shape strategic and technical solutions.
Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to work with integration platforms such as Dell Boomi for expansive solution provision.
More specifically, you will be expected to:
Analyse and continually enhance integrations around the SAP ecosystem, mainly utilising SAP's integration solutions;
Implement integration solutions employing SAP's out-of-box APIs, Events, and Integration Scenarios for prime functionality;
Decode business requirements into technical specifications, using established blueprints and methodologies for integration;
Upgrade and sustain current integrations, pushing for continuous improvement and adherence to best practices, ensuring scalable and operational solutions;
Enable integrations across different environments, including both on-premises and different cloud models;
Design, maintain, and assist APIs throughout their full lifecycle;
Partner with business and product teams to understand their needs and provide integration solutions;
Maintain interface reliability in line with service agreements, and work collaboratively to resolve issues;
Document integration solutions meticulously to aid in future support and operations;
Keep pace with the latest integration technologies and practices, developing prototypes and evaluating new solutions for potential use.
Do you have what it takes?
A minimum of 5 years of experience in similar functions combined with studies in a relevant field;
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey business requirements into integration solutions;
Good knowledge of the SAP Integration Suite and its components, including SAP Cloud Integration, API Management, and Event Mesh;
A thorough understanding of integration protocols like REST and SOAP;
Experience with the full API lifecycle;
Knowledge of SAP’s integration patterns and methodologies, particularly the SAP ISA-M;
An ability to design integration structures that combine cloud-based and on-premises systems;
A commitment to the highest security standards in integration practices;
Java programming skills to utilize in the SAP Integration Suite environment;
An understanding of SAP’s internal integration tools and frameworks, such as AIF capabilities;
Skill in utilizing S/4HANA’s integration features, such as IDOCs, events, and proxies;
Strong attention to detail, positive attitude, and capable of producing clear and actionable reports.
Language : As you will be part of a global team, you must be able to communicate fluently in English (verbal and written). Knowledge of other languages such as French, German and/or Spanish is desirable.
Travel: Some occasional travelling may be required.

Recently, Glencore’s Zinc division has embarked in a system replacement globally with the implementation of SAP S/4 HANA and Coupa as the main backbone to support industrial business operations globally. The solution has been deployed in some parts of the business in Q4 2023 and we are continuing our journey to roll-out the global solution to all sites to cover Australia, Spain, UK, Germany, Italy and Canada.
The global AMS team is formed by functional teams located in the north of Spain, Australia and Canada, combined with a central team located in Malaga. This new Group supports the business users globally from an applications management support perspective.
