Position description
Technical Project Manager – SAP SuccessFactors / LMS
Your new company
Hays is partnering with a large Queensland Government organisation to recruit an experienced Technical Project Manager for a significant statewide digital transformation initiative. The program is implementing SAP SuccessFactors to deliver a modern Learning Management Solution and establish foundations for workforce mobility through Employee Central.
Your new role
As the Technical Project Manager, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of a complex, enterprise-scale SAP SuccessFactors implementation. You will provide senior technical and project leadership across the program, working closely with executives, vendors, technical specialists and subject matter experts.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading delivery across scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, dependencies and resources.
- Providing technical leadership across solution architecture, system integration, technical design, development, testing and implementation.
- Leading multidisciplinary teams across architecture, engineering, development, testing and data.
- Managing phased technical releases and complex implementation dependencies.
- Overseeing data transition, including migration, validation, archiving and legacy system decommissioning.
- Managing executive stakeholders, vendors and professional services providers.
- Leading operational readiness, knowledge transfer and transition into BAU.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will have:
- A minimum of seven years' experience in senior technical project management roles, leading complex, large-scale implementations and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong enterprise technology implementation experience, ideally involving SAP SuccessFactors Learning, Employee Central or comparable enterprise platforms.
- Strong technical delivery experience across architecture, integrations, development, testing, data and enterprise solution implementation.
- Demonstrated data migration and transition experience, including legacy-system archiving and decommissioning.
- Experience applying methodologies such as PRINCE2, MSP, ITIL, Agile or SAFe, with SAP Activate experience also well regarded.
- Strong stakeholder, vendor, negotiation and influencing capabilities at an executive level.
- Experience within Queensland Government or a comparable public-sector environment will be highly regarded, along with SAP BTP and Integration Suite experience.
What you'll get in return
This is an opportunity to take a senior delivery role on a significant statewide technology transformation, implementing an enterprise learning solution across a large and complex environment. The position is based in Brisbane CBD, with flexible working arrangements, including remote work, potentially available subject to operational requirements and approval.
