Position description
- SAP FICO combines Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) to manage a company’s financial and management-accounting processes.
- An SAP FICO Consultant gathers finance requirements and designs SAP solutions for clients.
- The role includes configuring General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Banking, and Tax.
- It also covers Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Internal Orders, Product Costing, and Profitability Analysis (COPA).
- Consultants support month-end and year-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- They ensure SAP FICO integrates with modules such as MM, SD, PP, and PS.
- The job involves preparing functional specifications, testing, documentation, training users, and post-go-live support.
- Typical projects include SAP implementation, rollouts, upgrades, support, and S/4HANA Finance migration.
- A relevant degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or MBA, plus SAP FI/CO configuration experience, is generally required.
