Position description
Description:
Senior consultant level, reporting into the Solution Architect and Project Manager.
Package
£80,000 - £90,000.
Essential experience
- Strong SAP WM/EWM background.
- SAP S/4HANA experience preferred; solid ECC WM/EWM experience considered with genuine warehouse and supply chain grounding.
- Exposure to SAP Sovereign Cloud is desirable.
About the project
You'll be employed by a specialist SAP consultancy, delivering a major SAP S/4HANA transformation programme for an end client in the Defence industry. This is the successful candidate's first assignment - a Greenfield ECC 6 to S/4HANA build, targeting S/4HANA Private Cloud, specifically Sovereign Cloud (an additional private cloud layer required for programmes of this kind), with some public cloud exposure elsewhere in the end client's estate. You'll own the warehouse management workstream within the build described above.
Contract type and location
This is a permanent role, not tied to a single client engagement. The programme above is expected to run 2-3 years and is the candidate's first assignment; the successful candidate then moves onto other client projects as a permanent member of staff.
Fully remote / home-based, with occasional UK travel for workshops and meetings as needed. Travel expenses are covered.
Security clearance and eligibility
Because the end client operates in the Defence industry, BPSS (baseline) security clearance is required, but not upfront - it will be arranged and processed within roughly two weeks of start.
You must be a UK citizen, or hold the right to work in the UK without sponsorship or any restriction.
Recruitment process
Two stages: a 30-minute culture-fit/introductory chat, followed by a technical interview. Two references are required at offer stage.
Key dates
These roles are confirmed and live - first-round interviews are running through October 2026. Target start: early January 2027 (a mobilisation period may push this to mid-January). A December 2026 start is possible for an exceptional candidate who can move quickly.
