Senior SAP MM (Procurement) Consultant – Brazil Localisation

Contract (Initial 6 Months, Long-Term Intent)

Location: Brazil or Argentina preferred (São Paulo / Buenos Aires), LATAM time zone compatible

We are seeking a Senior SAP MM (Procurement) Consultant with strong Brazilian localization expertise to join a global SAP team.

The role will initially focus on production support and ticket resolution (100% for first ~6 months), with a structured transition into project-based work and global rollouts once the consultant has fully adapted to the organization’s highly customized SAP landscape.

This is not a short-term project assignment. While the initial contract will be 6 months, the intent is long-term continuity.

Key Responsibilities

Phase 1 – Support-Focused (First 4 - 6 Months)

• Resolve SAP MM procurement-related tickets and incidents
• Deliver KPIs aligned with (or exceeding) team benchmarks
• Manage Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Release strategies, Procurement document types
• Support vendor invoice processes and Accounts Payable integration
• Handle small change requests and configuration adjustments
• Address Brazil-specific legal and tax-driven system changes
• Work within a highly customised SAP environment

Phase 2 – Gradual Project Involvement

Following successful onboarding:

• Participate in SAP rollouts to new entities/countries
• Support design, UAT, and go-live phases
• Contribute to tax reform initiatives (e.g., Brazil tax reforms)
• Support Ariba rollout activities (if experienced)
• Collaborate closely with development teams for enhancements

Required Experience:

1. SAP MM (Procurement Focus)

Strong hands-on configuration experience in:

• Purchase Requisitions
• Purchase Orders
• Release Strategies
• Vendor Invoicing (MM–FI integration)
• Accounts Payable process understanding

Scope is procurement-centric MM. Inbound delivery, goods receipt logistics, etc., are handled by a separate team.

2. Brazil Localization (Critical Requirement)

• Proven experience implementing or supporting SAP Brazil localization
• Strong knowledge of Brazil-specific tax/legal requirements
• Experience handling legal-driven system adjustments
• Prior implementation experience in Brazil strongly preferred

Nice-to-Have Skills

• SAP Ariba experience (major advantage – global rollout in progress)
• SAP S/4HANA exposure (future roadmap participation possible)
• ABAP debugging capability (no development required, but ability to analyze/debug and collaborate with developers)
• Prior rollout experience in multi-country SAP deployments
