Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP AI Developer / SAP Business AI Consultant to support the design, development, and implementation of AI-powered solutions within the SAP ecosystem. The consultant will work on innovative SAP AI initiatives involving SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP AI Foundation, Joule, custom AI agents, Generative AI, Document AI, and intelligent business process automation.

This role combines SAP expertise, AI engineering capabilities, and integration skills to deliver scalable enterprise AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-powered business solutions on SAP BTP.
• Build and deploy custom AI applications using SAP AI Foundation and SAP AI Core.
• Develop and extend SAP Joule skills and AI agents using Joule Studio and/or pro-code approaches.
• Implement Generative AI use cases leveraging LLMs and enterprise knowledge sources.
• Create AI assistants and agentic workflows connected to SAP business processes.
• Implement document-based AI scenarios using SAP Document AI and Document Grounding.
• Design retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions using SAP and enterprise content repositories.
• Collaborate with functional and business teams to identify AI use cases and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, security, governance, and Responsible AI principles.

Must-Have Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Business AI technologies (AI Foundation, AI Core, Joule, Generative AI Hub).
• 4+ years of overall SAP development/consulting experience, with strong exposure to SAP BTP (CAP, Integration Suite, Event Mesh).
• Technical fluency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js), with experience in CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model).
• Proven experience building Generative AI solutions and AI agents/agentic workflows.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Gemini, Claude) including prompt engineering, function calling, structured outputs, and multi-turn reasoning.
• Experience designing RAG architectures, working with vector databases, embeddings, and enterprise document grounding concepts.
• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture, data models, released APIs, and business processes (Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, or O2C).
• Familiarity with SAP Build, SAP AI Launchpad, and low-code/no-code AI solution development.
• Knowledge of API-led design, event-driven architectures, and enterprise integration standards (OData, REST, IDoc, BAPI, RFC).
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and workshop facilitation skills; ability to articulate complex AI concepts to non-technical audiences.
