SAP (Senior) FI/CO Consultant – Retail Transformation (m/f/d)

Legacy landscapes are being replaced. Finance processes are becoming real-time. Cloud, automation and data are changing how retailers operate across stores, e-commerce, supply chain and corporate functions.

We are looking for an SAP FI/CO Consultant to join a growing SAP transformation team delivering major S/4HANA and digital finance programmes for leading retail organisations across Germany and Europe.

This is an opportunity to work beyond traditional FI/CO support. You will help design the financial backbone of tomorrow's retail businesses.

Your Mission

You will take ownership across the SAP transformation lifecycle – from understanding complex business requirements through solution design, implementation and go-live.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and delivering SAP FI/CO solutions within major S/4HANA transformation programmes
• Translating finance and controlling requirements into scalable SAP solutions
• Managing activities across requirements analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, rollout and go-live
• Configuring and customising SAP FI and CO according to complex business requirements
• Integrating FI/CO with the wider SAP digital core, surrounding SAP modules and external platforms
• Helping customers modernise and standardise finance processes across complex retail environments
• Leading workshops with finance, IT and business stakeholders
• Supporting migration from legacy ERP environments into modern S/4HANA architectures
• Creating solution documentation, methodologies and best practices
• Taking increasing ownership of projects, workstreams and customer relationships
• Contributing to future solutions around S/4HANA Cloud, Public Cloud, automation and intelligent finance

You bring:

• 3+ years of professional SAP FI/CO experience
• Strong knowledge of SAP Financial Accounting and/or Controlling
• Experience configuring and customising SAP FI/CO
• Understanding of end-to-end finance processes and the wider business value chain
• Experience integrating FI/CO with other SAP modules and external systems
• Exposure to SAP implementation, transformation, optimisation or rollout projects
• Strong analytical and solution-design capabilities
• Confidence working directly with business and IT stakeholders
• The ability to translate complex requirements into practical SAP solutions
• Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration or comparable professional experience
• Fluent German and strong English
