Position description
Life Sciences - SAP Functional Transformation Consultant
We are seeking experienced SAP consultants with strong Life Sciences industry expertise to advise pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device organisations through business and digital transformation initiatives.
In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor, helping clients define future operating models, design SAP-enabled solutions, and support large-scale transformation programmes. You will combine deep functional expertise with a strong understanding of Life Sciences processes, compliance requirements, and the end-to-end value chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise Life Sciences organisations on business transformation and SAP best practices.
- Lead functional solution design and support SAP-enabled transformation programmes.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, compliant SAP solutions.
- Contribute to business development activities, proposals, workshops, and client presentations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to drive successful outcomes.
- Support thought leadership, capability development, and industry best practices.
Functional Expertise
Candidates should have strong experience in one of the following areas:
- Finance (SAP FI/CO): S/4HANA Finance, record-to-report, group reporting, profitability analysis, and process automation.
- Commercial (SAP SD): Order-to-cash, pricing, contracts, rebates, and commercial operations.
- Supply Chain & Logistics (SAP MM/EWM/TM): Inventory, warehousing, distribution, and supply chain optimisation.
- Quality (SAP QM): GxP environments, CAPA, inspections, complaints, and compliance processes.
- Manufacturing (SAP PP/MES): Batch manufacturing, MES integration, and digital manufacturing initiatives.
- Data Management (SAP MDG): Master data governance, migration, data quality, and stewardship.
- Solution Architecture: SAP S/4HANA, integration strategies, cloud architecture, and enterprise transformation roadmaps.
- Integrated Business Planning (SAP IBP): Demand and supply planning, inventory optimisation, forecasting, and S&OP.
Candidate Profile
- Strong experience within the Life Sciences sector.
- Expertise in at least one SAP functional area.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical or medical device business processes and regulatory requirements.
- Experience supporting large-scale SAP transformation programmes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and consulting skills.
