SAP TM Solution Architect - Long-Term Contract - Remote (US)
We're hiring an SAP TM Solution Architect for a long-term contract with a large US aerospace/defense manufacturer, delivered through a major SAP-aligned staffing partner.

We need someone who has actually designed the integration between SAP TM and a 3rd party Transportation Management System, not just configured SAP TM on its own or worked a 3rd party TMS in isolation. What you'll be doing:

• Defining the integration architecture between S/4HANA/SAP TM and the 3rd party TMS in place

• Producing documentation that holds up in a long-term, governance-heavy program

The core differentiator (rarest):

Actual hands-on experience integrating SAP TM with a 3rd party TMS in a live production environment - designing the interface, not just working alongside one. Oracle OTM, Blue Yonder/JDA, MercuryGate, BluJay, or Transporeon are the platforms that show up most often.

SAP TM specific:

Freight order and freight unit building
Charge calculation
Tendering
Carrier settlement
Ideally embedded TM on S/4HANA rather than only standalone/decentralized TM

Integration/technical:

SAP CPI (preferred) or PI/PO for the interface layer
IDoc-level understanding where relevant (SHPMNT05, DESADV, EDI 940/945 type interfaces often sit either side of the TM integration)
Master data sync design between SAP and the external TMS
Understanding of system-of-record boundaries - what logic/data lives in SAP TM vs. the external platform

Program/soft skills:

Solution architecture ownership, not just configuration - needs to be able to make and defend design decisions, not just execute a spec
