Role Overview
The SAP Corporate Serialization Support Specialist provides functional and technical support for the enterprise's serialization platform. The primary focus is ensuring the seamless generation, distribution, and repository tracking of unique serial numbers across manufacturing sites, contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs), and logistics networks. This role is critical for ensuring compliance with global anti-counterfeiting mandates, regulatory traceability standards, and protecting product lifecycle integrity.
Key Responsibilities
• Platform and Application Support: Provide day-to-day functional and technical troubleshooting for the SAP Corporate Serialization (CorS) core repository and unique identifier (UID) registries.
• Serial Number and Registry Management: Support the generation, randomization, block allocation, and status tracking of unique serial numbers. Address system locks, sequencing failures, or sync issues between local and corporate registries.
• Event Processing and Monitoring: Monitor, analyze, and resolve errors in high-volume event data processing (EPCIS messages) sent by packaging lines, warehouse management systems, or external partners.
• Integration and Interface Maintenance: Troubleshoot interfaces linking SAP Corporate Serialization to ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA/ECC), Warehouse Management Systems (SAP EWM), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and regulatory verification hubs via IDocs, BAPIs, and OData APIs.
• Incident and Exception Handling: Own, investigate, and resolve ticket escalations regarding transaction or regulatory reporting failures within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• GxP Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all troubleshooting and fix deployments comply with strict quality standards (GxP / GMP guidelines). Create and maintain internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and knowledge articles.
