SAP Basis Freelancer Requirement | Netherlands Hybrid | S/4HANA Upgrade Focus

One of Energize’s clients is looking for an SAP Basis Freelancer to support upcoming SAP upgrade and maintenance activities, with a strong focus on S/4HANA.

The client has two S/4HANA upgrades scheduled for the second half of this year, and their internal team needs additional support across upgrade work, regular maintenance, batch updates, and system updates. They are looking for someone who can take ownership of technical SAP Basis activities and coordinate effectively with internal teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities:

• Support and run SAP Basis upgrade activities, mainly across S/4HANA systems
• Coordinate technical tasks with internal teams and external partners
• Manage SAP Basis maintenance alongside project work
• Support batch updates, system updates, and other technical activities
• Align with other teams on dependencies, timelines, risks, and priorities
• Provide clear communication on progress, blockers, and next steps
• Support SAP ECC environments where required, although the main focus is S/4HANA

Your profile:

• Strong experience as an SAP Basis Consultant / SAP Basis Administrator

• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA environments

• SAP ECC experience would be beneficial

• Previous involvement in SAP upgrade projects

• Able to organise your own work and take ownership of technical activities

• Comfortable coordinating with internal teams, external partners, and technical stakeholders

• Good understanding of SAP Basis maintenance, batch updates, and system updates

• Experience automating SAP Basis activities on previous projects would be a nice-to-have

• Dutch preferred; English required
