SAP JVA Consultant

The Opportunity

We are currently supporting a large-scale global SAP transformation programme and are looking for an experienced SAP FI-JVA Consultant to join the Finance workstream.

This role will focus on Joint Venture Accounting (JVA) within a complex S/4HANA environment, supporting solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities as part of a broader Record-to-Report transformation initiative.

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, SAP development teams, testing teams, data teams, and training/change functions to ensure the successful delivery of the finance solution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of SAP Joint Venture Accounting (FI-JVA) solutions
• Produce Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and configuration rationale documentation
• Configure SAP FI-JVA solutions aligned to business requirements and programme timelines
• Collaborate with SAP development teams to finalise solution designs and functional specifications
• Support integration, system, and user acceptance testing activities
• Work closely with data migration, training, and change management teams
• Support deployment and knowledge transfer activities
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimisation within finance operations
• Contribute to S/4HANA upgrade and transformation initiatives
  
  

Required Experience

• Strong SAP FI/CO and FI-JVA consulting experience
• Proven experience delivering SAP Joint Venture Accounting solutions within S/4HANA environments
• Deep understanding of Joint Venture Accounting master data including:
  • Partners
  • JOA / Joint Ventures
  • Equity Types
  • Recovery Indicators
  • Billing Indicators
  • Cost Object Structures
• Experience supporting both operated and non-operated Joint Venture scenarios
• Strong understanding of integrations between SAP FI/JVA and third-party applications
• Experience producing functional specifications and working closely with development teams
  
  

Desirable Experience

• Previous involvement in large-scale S/4HANA transformation programmes
• Experience within Energy, Oil & Gas, Natural Resources, or Joint Venture-intensive industries
• Exposure to AI-enabled delivery tools and automation frameworks
• Strong stakeholder management and business-facing consulting skills
