Role: SAP Basis Consultant (RISE)

Location: Remote (Portugal preferred, ideally Lisbon)

Start Date: ASAP (within 2–3 weeks)

Duration: 6-month contract + extension up to 12 months

Workload: Flexible (full-time or part-time, including limited daily hours)

Travel: None (fully remote)

Language: Portuguese (preferred), English (required)

Role Overview

The client is seeking a highly experienced SAP Basis Consultant to support a RISE with SAP environment on a flexible, remote basis. This is a critical hire following a last-minute candidate withdrawal, requiring immediate availability and strong hands-on expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• System Administration & Operations: Manage and maintain SAP landscapes, ensuring system availability, performance, and stability.
• RISE with SAP Support: Work within a RISE environment, supporting cloud-based SAP infrastructure and integrations.
• Monitoring & Optimisation: Perform system monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
• Technical Support: Provide ongoing Basis support including transport management, upgrades, patches, and incident resolution.
• Collaboration: Work closely with functional and technical teams in a remote delivery setup.

Must-Have Requirements

• 10+ years of SAP Basis experience (enterprise-level environments).
• Proven hands-on experience with RISE with SAP (essential).
• Strong technical background in SAP system administration, upgrades, and performance tuning.
• Experience working in remote and flexible delivery models.
• Portuguese nationality or based in Portugal strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
