About the Company
Our client is an internationally operating organisation with a strong focus on scalable operations and structured growth. The company manages complex, multi-entity business structures across numerous markets and is investing heavily in the modernisation and harmonisation of its global systems landscape.
With an entrepreneurial yet pragmatic culture, the organisation values ownership, collaboration, and long-term thinking. Teams work closely across functions and geographies to build sustainable processes that support ongoing international expansion and operational excellence.
Employees are encouraged to actively shape how the organisation works, contributing to large-scale transformation initiatives that have a lasting impact well beyond initial implementation phases.
Your Role
As Senior SAP FI/CO Consultant, you will take on a key role in a strategic, company-wide ERP and finance transformation. The organisation is transitioning from a fragmented finance system landscape to a harmonised global operating model based on SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
You will act as a senior advisor to the business, combining deep SAP FI/CO expertise with a consultative mindset to design standardised, scalable, and future-proof finance and controlling processes.
Your Mission
In this role, you will serve as a senior finance transformation partner. Beyond gathering requirements, you will actively guide and challenge stakeholders, helping define how finance processes are designed, standardised, and embedded globally within the framework of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud best practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Taking a leading role for SAP FI/CO within a global S/4HANA Public Cloud implementation
• Advising business stakeholders on standardised, best-practice finance and controlling processes aligned with SAP Public Cloud principles
• Designing and configuring end-to-end FI/CO processes in close collaboration with Finance, including:
– General Ledger, Accounts Payable & Receivable
– Asset Accounting
– Bank Ledger and Liquidity / Cash Management
– Controlling (CO-OM, Profitability Analysis / Product Costing)
• Acting as a trusted advisor for Finance, Controlling, and IT stakeholders, supporting decision-making on process design, trade-offs, and system capabilities
• Steering and supporting external implementation partners, ensuring quality, feasibility, and adherence to the global template
• Contributing to data migration activities, test concepts, cutover planning, and go-live execution
• Helping establish and professionalise internal SAP FI/CO capabilities for long-term system ownership
• Supporting continuous optimisation, future rollouts, and expansion into additional countries
Your Profile
You combine strong SAP finance expertise with a consulting-oriented mindset and enjoy taking responsibility in complex transformation programmes.
Ideally, you bring:
• Several years of experience as a Senior SAP FI/CO Consultant (in-house or consulting)
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, ideally in a Public Cloud environment
• Deep understanding of Finance and Controlling processes in international, multi-entity organisations
• Proven experience in ERP implementations or migrations, ideally from non-SAP systems
• The ability to guide stakeholders toward standard solutions and pragmatic decisions
• Strong understanding of SAP best practices, fit-to-standard approaches, and Public Cloud constraints
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
• Fluent English; German language skills are a plus
Why Join?
• A senior, high-impact role within a global SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud transformation
• The opportunity to shape finance standards and processes across multiple countries
• Close collaboration with senior business leaders and decision-makers
• An international, growth-oriented organisation with an entrepreneurial mindset
• Flexible working arrangements and a competitive compensation package
• A long-term role beyond go-live, including optimisation and global rollout responsibility
