Senior ABAP Developer – SAF-T Implementation (SAP ECC)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior ABAP Developer to support the development and adaptation of our SAF-T solution. The role focuses on migrating an existing S/4HANA-based implementation to ECC, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with current architecture. This position requires strong technical expertise, independent problem-solving, and the ability to ease workload for the internal team.

Key Responsibilities

• Adapt and implement the SAF-T solution from S/4HANA to ECC.
• Develop and maintain ABAP code with performance and scalability in mind.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure architectural consistency.
• Analyze and optimize database selection logic (complex SELECT statements, joins, etc.).
• Support testing, documentation, and deployment activities.

Required Skills

• Proven expertise in ABAP development, including advanced performance tuning (DB hints, PlanViz, etc.).
• Strong understanding of SAP FI, MM, and SD data structures.
• Skilled in database handling within ABAP, including joins, complex data models, and optimized retrieval methods.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality delivery standards.

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with SAF-T implementation (any country).
• Familiarity with OECD SAF-T 2.0 specification.
